Bonnie Ruth Jones, 84, of Atwood died at 10:12 a.m., Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola.

Visitation will be held at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home in Atwood on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood, IL.

Bonnie was born on July 15, 1933, in Decatur, the daughter of Keith and Ruth Hendrickson Kimmel.  She married Wayne Jones on February 27, 1952 at the Lake Fork Church in Atwood.  He survives.

Along with her husband, Wayne, she is survived by her children: Kevin Jones and Katrina Wellbaum (and husband Todd) and her granddaughter Payton Wellbaum.

Bonnie graduated from Atwood High School in 1951.  She worked as a hairdresser for 50 years in her home in Atwood.

Bonnie loved traveling with her family.  She loved animals and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.  Bonnie loved music and playing the piano.  She and Wayne enjoyed attending all their children's and grandchildren's sporting and music events.  She loved shopping for antiques with Wayne.  She was a loving and friendly person and always had a kind word for any stranger she met.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Hands-4-Paws.
