Billie Jean Lee, 92, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Life's Journey Senior Living, Mattoon, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, IL, with Rev. Terri Haas officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Billie was born on July 28, 1926 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Jesse Thomas and Mildred McGinness Chrysler. She married Raymond L. Lee, Jr. on June 13, 1948 in Casey, IL. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1999.

Survivors include her sons: James D. (Margie) Lee of Tuscola and Brian T. (Mindy) Lee of Grand Rapids, MI, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 great-granddaughters.

Billie was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church for over 50 years, serving in various capacities. She was a life member and Past President of the Jarman Hospital Auxiliary and the Douglas County Museum. She served the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) as District Chairman and as an Arrowhead Executive Board member. She served the Prairielands Council on the Executive and Advisory Boards and on many other committees over the years. She was a charter member of the Scouting Heritage Society and received several honors including the Silver Beaver, District Award of Merit, God & Service Award and James E. West Fellow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscola United Methodist Church, BSA Prairielands Council or Douglas County Museum.
