Beverly Ann McDade, 74, of Atwood, passed away surrounded by her family in her home on Saturday, March 21st 2015 at 5:22 p.m.

She was born in Pierson Station, IL on May 31st 1940. She was raised by her father Calvin Tomey, Uncle Curly and Aunt Spud and grandparents Frank and Lola Thompson and Uncle Herbert.

Beverly was married to her love of her life for 56 years, Harold "Willie" McDade.

She is survived by her husband and her daughters: Jorena (Dale) Hammel of Atwood, Kim (Mike) Mikowski of Grand Rapids, MI, Tonya (Brad) Allen of Tuscola.

Grandchildren: Ashley (Ben) Frick of St. Joseph, Mitchell (Casey) Hammel of Peoria, Jeff Gordon and Rebecca Ita of Columbus, OH, Brian Killinger of Grand Rapids, MI, Karli and Maddie Allen of Tuscola. Step-Grandchildren: Stacey and Ian Mikowski of Grand Rapids, MI. Great-Grandchildren: Addison and Landon Frick, Elsie Hammel.

Extended Family: Tim and Michele Burk of Atwood and Dusty Burk and family of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Joyce Luckenbill and Betty Koontz and by the loving family members who raised her.

Beverly was a loving homemaker, babysitter, school and restaurant cook and butcher. She was a member of the United Church of Atwood and Women's Club. Beverly will always be remembered for her exceeding generosity, daily conversations, strength of character, creative spirit and boisterous family meals (including homemade caramels). We will always continue her love of giving, cheering at sporting events and the love of parades.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the United Church of Atwood, 210 North Main Street, Atwood, with graveside services to follow at the Cartwright Cemetery, rural Tuscola, IL.
