Beulah Hendrix, 86, of Milmine, IL, died on Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur, IL
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, Cerro Gordo with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, September 21, at the church. Burial will be in the Cerro Gordo Cemetery. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, is handling the arrangements. Beulah was born July 2, 1922 at the home near Cisco, IL, the daughter of Ansel and Goldie Gisinger. On October 23, 1941, she married John R. Hendrix in Troy, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2003.
Beulah was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. She was a member of the Willow Branch Home Extension and Piatt County Farm Bureau. She had been a 4-H Leader for 20 years. Beulah loved to travel, camp, and garden.
Beulah leaves behind many loved ones: her loving daughter Judy Sochor and husband John, of Cerro Gordo, loving son John and wife Lisa of rural Monticello, seven loving grandchildren Jennifer (Michael) Brown, and Sara (Joshua) Worley, John Paul Hendrix and Ryan (Krista) Hendrix and Molly (Kory) King, Anna and Alyssa Hendrix, six great grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. Brother Bill Gisinger and wife Judy and sister Edith (Dolly) Jackson of Cerro Gordo. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved so much.
The family would like to extend their thanks to DMH 5100, DMH ICU, DMH Hospice, Dr. McCormack, Dr. Esparaz, Dr.Yu, Dr. Fernandez, Dr. Bailey and Dr. Eloy. A Very Special Thank You to the Imboden Creek Living Center for all their special care and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John, her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
