Betty L. Weber Cooch, 91, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 12:02 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with Rev. Kenneth Roedder, Rev. Ralph Deal and Rev. Brian George officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Betty was born on September 3, 1922 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Frank L. and Mary Lucile Thayer Sexton. She married Elmer J. Weber, Jr. on February 17, 1943 at Danville, IL. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1997. She later married Dale C. Cooch on August 29, 1998 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2008.

Survivors include her nephew: Eugene (Barbara) Gross of Kissimmee, FL, nieces: Jeanette (Joe) Lawrence of Orlando, FL and Virginia (Fred) Herman of Brownsville, TX, sister-in-law: Lois Sexton of Simi Valley, CA, many great-nieces and nephews, step-children: Dale "Chuck" Cooch, Martha Ramsay and Dan Cooch, companion: Wilbur "Red" Wetzel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Everett Sexton, sisters: Mary Etta Crews and Esther Gross

Betty lived in Douglas County most of her life. She worked at Citizen's Gas Company for 13 years and at the Hillard Agency for 23 years, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, due to the church closing, she and Junior joined the Tuscola United Church of Christ.
