Betty Jane Schweighart, 79, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 2:53 AM, Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M., on Saturday at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Mrs. Schweighart was born on June 29, 1929 in Bourbon, IL, the daughter of Everett L. and Flora Beaty Decker, Sr. She married Bernard V. Schweighart on January 6, 1949 in Pesotum, IL. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1990.

Survivors include her daughters: Marjorie Metheny and husband: Bob of Villa Grove, IL, Beverly Wetzel and husband: Steve of Tuscola, IL, Jane Lewis of Tuscola, IL, 1 Brother: Everett Decker, Jr. of Tuscola, IL, 1 Sister: Stella Tynes of Cummings, GA, 4 Grandchildren: Robyn Blanton, Rebecca Harap, Bradly Wetzel and Darren Lewis, 2 Great-Grandchildren: Regan Blanton and Camryn Howze

She was preceded in death by her parents.
