Betty Rutan, 87, of Arthur passed away June 18, 2019 at 3:45 p.m. at Aspen Creek in Sullivan.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Arthur Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Weiman officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Monday at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.

Betty was born February 10, 1932 in Moultrie County, the daughter of Dean and Elizabeth Blower Mattox.

She was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Richard) Agge of Sullivan; stepdaughter, Dawn (Mike) Moutray of Varna; sister-in-law, Marianne Mattox; niece, Lee Ann (Tom) Ranalli; grandchildren, Beth (Ryan) McCann, Cathryn Agge, Nicholas (Shaina) Wood, Megan Wood, Tyler (Kate) Moutray, Ryan (Brittney) Moutray; and seven great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Elizabeth Mattox; husbands, Paul "Bing" Wood and Harold "Ruty" Rutan; brother, Jack Mattox; sister, Mary Ann Barnes; brother-in-law, Howard Barnes; grandson, Bryan Agge; and stepson, Steve Rutan.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Aspen Creek for the excellent care of Betty.
