Elizabeth Ellen "Betty" Meeks, 84, of Tuscola, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Shelbyville Manor.

Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Joseph Carter officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Betty was born on April 7, 1940 in Tuscola, the daughter of Orie and Martha Shewmake Perry.

Survivors include her son: Doug (Jamie) Meeks of Sullivan, sister: Reta (Bob) Swisher of Shelbyville, brother: Jim Perry of Sachse, TX, grandchildren: Daniel Meeks, Alexandria (Chris) Dann, Jason Meeks, Hunter (John) Ervin, James "Dakota" Hale and James "JP" (Delisha) McCrone, great-grandchildren: Cheerilee Monk, Darrell Meeks, Anniston Ervin, James and Sydney McCrone, her best friend: Ruby Pangburn of Mattoon and beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty was the manager of Proud Mary's in Tuscola for many years and was a was an active member and supporter of the Moose and ABATE. Betty loved spending time in Florida. She enjoyed making crafts, always creating something unique to decorate her home or give as a gift to friends and family.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola Moose Lodge.
