Betty Louise Emberton Jones, 95, of Tuscola, passed away Sunday May 25, 2025.

Betty was born May 19,1930 in rural Douglas County to Earl and Bernice McCoskey Emberton. She graduated from Oakland High School in 1948.

Betty married Edward L. Jones on June 1,1950 in Charleston. They enjoyed almost 55 years of marriage until Ed's passing in 2005.

Betty worked hard all of her life. She was a seamstress, restaurant owner, nurse's aide, and retired from Kraft. Even after retirement she kept busy as a home health aide, gardening, and caring for family.

Survivors include her son David (Jane), grandchildren Jeremy (Angi) Jones, Brad Hoshauer, Joshua (Ashley) Jones, Jonathan (Kari Black) Jones, Daniel (Ashley) Jones, nine great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.

Preceding her in death were her husband Ed, son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Rita Jones, granddaughter Sarah Jones Hoshauer, grandson Timothy Jones, brother Bernard Emberton, sisters Margie Parker and Mary Jane Message, and two infant sisters.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola with David L. Jones officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Peace Meal Senior Nutrition Program.
