Betty M. Dietrich, 84, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 10:07 am, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm with an 8 pm vigil service on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Private burial will be held at the St. Mary's Cemetery, rural Pesotum, IL at a later date.
Betty was born on April 27, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of John and May Reifeiss Cabalek. She married Norman E. Dietrich on January 14, 1947 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1994.
Survivors include her son: John (Susan) Dietrich of Salt Lake City, UT, daughters: Barbara (Don) Jenks of Houston, TX, Jan Lindholm of Seattle, WA and Susie (Greg) Ogden of Tuscola, IL, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her children: Dan, Jim, Marcia, Ed and Diane "Pud" and grandson: Marcus Lindholm.
Betty worked as a retail sales clerk for many years and she was well known for her sense of fashion. Betty was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church.
