Bertha E. Traxler, 67, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 2:03 P.M., Thursday, March 22, 2007 at the Sullivan Health Care Center, Sullivan, IL
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Conrad Heisner officiating. No Visitation will be held. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Traxler was born on June 2, 1939 in Metropolis, IL, the daughter of George and Edith Oliver Stephens. She married David Walker in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1967. She married David O. Traxler on April 26, 1969 in Atwood, IL. He survives.
Other survivors include: 2 Sons: Cliff Walker and wife: Kathy of Pinckneyville, IL, David Traxler and wife: Carol of Philo, IL, 1 Daughter: Tisha Buchanan and husband: Alvie of Mt. Vernon, IL, 1 Brother: Harry Stephens of California, 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Granddaughter
She was preceded in death by her Parents, 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters
Mrs. Traxler was a homemaker and a member of the Atwood Christian Church. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
