B. Louise Carwile Bartholomew, 88, of Urbana, died at 7:20 PM Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at the Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola, IL. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Louise was born May 14, 1927 in Buckeye, Arizona, the daughter of Perry and Ida M. Baxter Banning. She married Cecil Carwile on May 31, 1947; he preceded her in death on April 9, 1987. She later married Donald Bartholomew on June 9, 1999; he preceded her in death on September 17, 2001.
Survivors include her son, Russell Carwile of Urbana; brother, Stanley Banning and wife Linda of Prescott Valley, Arizona; sister, Martha Banning Grimes and husband Thomas of Gold Canyon, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Jason Carwile of Louisiana, Jessica Stamper of Tuscola, Theresa Fuller of Tolono, Sara and Jaison Carwile both of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands; brother, Herbert; and son, Morris.
Louise was a member of the First Christian Church of Champaign. She was employed as a receptionist at Christie Clinic for 35 years.
