Obituary
Arthur Good, Jr, 85, of Atwood, IL passed away at 7:58 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at his residence.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday August 5, 2017 at the Southern Baptist Church of Sullivan, 615 East Jackson Street, Sullivan, IL with Pastor Don Lusk officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Mr. Good was born December 18, 1931 in Chrisman, IL the son of Arthur and Opal Mae Jones Good, Sr. He Married Grace L. Smith on July 21, 1954. She preceded him in death on November 26, 2016.
Arthur is survived by 2 sons: Randall (Carol Ann) Good of Charleston, IL and Ron (Kathleen) Good of Mattoon, IL; 8 grandchildren: Alisha, Natashia, Kayle, Kelsie, Olivia, Trevor, Bethany and Amanda; 8 great-grandchildren and a niece: Donya Dee Chessman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Phillip Good and Dean Good.
Arthur was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked for Ettelbrick Shoe Factory while his family lived in Robinson and Casey, IL. Later the family moved to Atwood when Arthur began employment at USI Chemical Company, from which he retired.
Memorials are suggested to the Southern Baptist Church of Sullivan.
