Anna L. (Weber) Mattix, 84, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 11:55 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Ann Mattix was the youngest of 9 children born to the late Elmer and Theresa (Kleiss) Weber on April 22, 1927. She married Forrest "Corky" Mattix on February 22, 1949 at Forty Martyrs in Tuscola. She has been a life-long member of Forty Martyrs Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, her son, Steve in Tuscola, daughter, Laura Peralta and husband: Fred in Mahomet, son, Phil and his wife: Sheila in Milwaukee, WI, daughter, Theresa Quinn and her husband: Steve in Tuscola.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Dana Mattix, Tuscola.
She was a loving grandmother of Michael Mattix of Lexington; Christopher (Lori) Mattix of St. Louis; Andrew (Beth) Peralta of Champaign; Emily Peralta of Urbana, Mackenzie Quinn of Tuscola; Ellie and Annie Mattix of Milwaukee and loving great-grandmother to Matthew, Rylee and Sebastian Mattix.
Ann is survived by her older brother, Verlin Weber of Champaign and older sister, Marge Ferguson of Paris. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Bernard Weber, Everett Weber, Harold Weber, Quentin Weber, Elmer Weber, Jr and Mary Jones all of Tuscola.
An avid homemaker and devout Catholic, Ann enjoyed baking, driving lunches to the farm and watching her children and their children grow.
