Obituary
Anna Marie Kauffman, 80, of Arthur, died at 6:38 PM Wednesday, July 29,2015 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Vine Street Christian Church, Arthur, with Rev. John Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM on Saturday at the church. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is in charge of arrangements.
Anna was born April 26, 1935 in Mattoon, the daughter of Roy and Edith Stuart Brotherton.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Rodney Kauffman of Arthur; Russell (Peggy) Kauffman of Huntsville, Alabama; 4 grandchildren, Joshua, Zowie, and Emily Kauffman; Amanda (Andrew) McCulley; and great granddaughter, Isabella Grace McCulley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elda Jane.
Anna graduated from Mattoon High School. She was a member of the Vine Street Christian Church in Arthur. She had worked as a secretary for 3 different entities: WLBH Radio Station, Arthur High School, and Douglas County Superintendent of Highways, and also helped with the family farm.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed doing counted-stitch sewing, and scrap booking.
