Anna Jean Embry, 74, of Arcola, died at 4:21 a.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Anna was born March 30, 1951 in Cushman, Arkansas, the daughter of Richard and Zelma Steward Burns. She married Rick Embry on March 5, 1971; he preceded her in death on February 27, 2004.

Survivors include her son, Joshua Embry of Effingham; 2 daughters, Brandy Embry of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Jean Embry of Arcola; 7 grandchildren; brother, Jerry Burns; sisters, Sandra Anderson, and Brenda Bright. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick; sons, Jade and Rick Embry; and 2 brothers.

Anna retired from Monahan’s Broom Company.
