Anna K. Blaha, 81, of rural Amana, IA, formerly of Hammond, IL, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Cowboy Church in Walford, IA where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016
Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Hammond United Methodist Church, Hammond, IL where a funeral will start at 11 a.m. and burial will follow at the Hammond Cemetery, Hammond, IL.
Anna Kathryn Harding was born April 21, 1935, in Evansville, Indiana. She graduated from Reitz High School in Evansville and married Bill Ulbricht on January 14, 1954 who passed away in 1992. After marriage they moved to Hammond where she was an active part of the Methodist Church most of her adult life. On September 3, 1994, Anna married Jack Blaha at the Shueyville United Methodist Church. The last year or two, she and Jack have been a part of the Cowboy Church in Walford. Anna always enjoyed cheering the Cubs and Cardinals.
Her family includes her husband, John "Jack" Blaha; children, William Ulbricht (Nancy) of Atwood, IL, Charles Ulbricht (Debbie) of Decatur, IL, Jane Tohill (Gary) of Hammond, IL, Joyce Lane of Ft. Wright, KY, step-children, Charlotte Pugh of Onalaska, WI, Teresa Douglas (Kirk) of Eagan, MN, John Blaha (Deb) of Swisher, Marjean Burkhart (Rick) of Saucier, MS and Marlon Blaha (Lori) of Solon; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill; adoptive parents, Ben and Evelyn Harding; son, Michael Ulbricht and step-son-in-law, Ron Pugh.
