Anita L. Chaplin Hutchens, 82, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 4:10 a.m., Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with Rev. Patty Johansen officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Anita was born on July 25, 1930 in Arcola, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Grace Jones Stortzum. She married Richard A. Chaplin on April 30, 1950 in Arcola, IL. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1975. She married Arnold E. Hutchens on March 11, 1977 in Tuscola, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are her sons: Dennis Chaplin and wife: Cathy of Camargo, IL and Mark Chaplin and wife: Cathy of Tuscola, IL, step-son: Harold Hutchens of Champaign, IL, and step-daughter: Cheryl Broady of Villa Grove, IL, brother: Donald Stortzum of Saint Leonard, Maryland, grandchildren: Nathan (Chelle) Chaplin and Cara (Justin) McKinnie, great-grandchildren: Ethan Chaplin, Isaac Chaplin and Myles McKinnie, step-grandchildren: Matt (Lori) Broady and Sondra (Butch) Burwell, step-great-grandchildren: Tyler Burwell, Bryanna Broady, Alison Burwell, Chase Burwell, Madison Burwell, Boston Broady and Hudson Broady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Ronald Chaplin and brother: Harold "Red" Stortzum

Anita was a homemaker. She was a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge. She loved to cook. Anita and Arnold moved back to Tuscola in April 2010 after residing in Russellville, AR for 18 years.
