Alice Louise Kirkland McClure, 94, of Monticello, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello, IL

Family graveside services will be held at a later date in the Monticello Township Cemetery, Monticello, IL

Alice was born on March 12, 1925 in Piatt County, IL, the daughter of Willis D. and Emma Alice Fitzwater Fristoe. She married Clarence Kirkland, Jr. in 1942 and farmed in the White Heath Area until his death in 1971. She then married Robert McClure in 1991 and resided in the Decatur area until his death in 2013.

She is survived by two sons: Charles "Skip" (Jennifer) Kirkland of Livingston, TX and William (Linda) Kirkland of Murfreesboro, TN. Three grandchildren: Justin Kirkland, Lyndsey (Chris) Helstern and Chris (Stacy) Kirkland. Five great- grandchildren: Travis (Becky) Kirkland, Aubrey Johnson, Christian Cotten and Dexter & Kinzy Kirkland. One great-great grandchild: Emmet Underwood.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters.

Alice graduated from Bement High School. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. Alice was an avid seamstress and worked at her craft well into her 80's.
