Alice A. Johnson, 65, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 12:21 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at her residence.
We are going to miss our Angel. Alice had been fighting lung cancer.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with cremation later.
Alice was born on July 25, 1947 in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of John and Helen Opal Walker Hamilton. She married Richard Johnson on January 3, 1979.
Alice will always be remembered for her loving and caring ways. She had a heart of gold. Alice was a wonderful, beautiful person and was very much loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband: Richard, children: Tracy (Frank) Tomberlin of Odell, IL, Steve (Lisa) Johnson of Edna, TX, Bruce (Sandra) Johnson of Mansfield, IL, Donnie Wise of California, MO, Janis Wise of Tipton, MO, grandchildren: Briana, Bryce, Joshua, Nathan, Derek, Tyler, Courtney and Colton, great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Andy and Kindle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Bill Verdier, Harold Hamilton and John Hamilton.
The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Pamela Harper and Debbie Lentz for all the special care they gave to Alice.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
