Alberta M. Travis, 97, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 6:53 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2018 at Carriage Crossing Senior Living, Arcola, IL
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with the Rev. Kenneth Roedder. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Alberta was born on July 20, 1920 in Noble, IL, the daughter of Harry and Lelah Ireland Hasler. She married Leo Travis on April 17, 1937 in Noble, IL. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1988.
Survivors include her daughter: Phyllis (Larry) Williams of Tuscola, daughter-in-law: Nancy Travis of Tuscola, grandchildren: Janice (Jim) Snider, Doug (Paula) Williams, Tammi (Tracy) Kroenung, Toni (John) Little and Ticia (Lance) Kresin, great-grandchildren: Jourdan (Mitch) Clapper, Kaci Williams, Kara Williams, Ryan Williams, Klint Kroenung, Kaela Kroenung, Luke Kroenung, Chase Little, Chance Little, Dalani Little, Dakota Little, Kameryn Kresin and Lucas Kresin, great-great-granddaughter: Parker Kroenung
She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Robert Travis, sisters: Ann English, Mabel Clark, Opal Rusk, Lucille Hasler and brother: Virgil Hasler.
Alberta was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Tuscola Women of the Moose and the West Ridge Ladies Club.
Memorials are suggested to Harbor Light Hospice and Carriage Crossing Senior Living.
