Alan Charles Bozarth, 53, of Tuscola, IL formerly of McLeansboro, IL passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at his home.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro, IL. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St. Tuscola, IL with 8 pm Masonic Services.
Mr. Bozarth was born July 26, 1955 in Champaign County, IL the son of Charles and Thelma Bradshaw Bozarth. His father preceded him in death on December 18, 2003 and his mother on November 28, 2006.
Survivors include 3 Aunts: Edith Bozarth of Tuscola, IL; Ruth Harris and husband Robert of East Alton, IL; Ruth Wood of Springfield, IL and several cousins.
Mr. Bozarth was a graduate of McLeansboro High School. He received his bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education and obtained a teaching certificate from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Alan was the former owner of Soil Lab, Inc. in Tuscola.
Alan was a member of the Tuscola Masonic Lodge and the Valley of Danville Scottish Rite. His hobbies included gardening, farming and the family's German Shepard dogs over the years; most recently his best friend "Helga".
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Camargo Township Library, 14 North Main St., Villa Grove, IL 61956.
