Ada was born August 24, 1923 in Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Snowden and Rosa Wells. She was youngest and the eighth child of Rosa and the twenty fourth of Snowden. Ada was the last remaining child of her large family.
She married Ross Farris on January 1, 1940 in Southern Illinois and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1995.
She is survived by her children, Myron "Nick" Farris of El Paso, IL, Diane (Lew) Wingler of Geneva, IN, and Darrell (Vicki) Farris of Dallas, TX; 8 Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Snowden & Rosa Wells, her husband Ross Farris, 6 sisters, Hazel, Ruthinda, Edith, Mabel, Dorothy, and Opal, 1 infant brother, Leslie, and one Grandson, Mark Farris.
Her hobbies included reading, puzzles, yard work, and quilt making. She took pride in her home keeping it neat, clean, and spotless. Until her health declined, she enjoyed her coffee friends at McDonald's and performing with the "Kitchen Band" for various Nursing Homes and other places. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church, Tuscola and especially was appreciative of the many rides to and from church by friends and members and being brought communion every Sunday by them when she was no longer able to attend in person.
Her special friends, Dorothy Stirrett and Mary Kay Kalmar made her life more joyful and she mentioned them often as they both took the place of her late sisters in care, concern, and friendship. Paul Wisovoty was a great friend to "Mrs. Farris", taking over her yard work and bringing her son Nick to her for visits.
Memorials may be made to the Tuscola Christian Church in memory of Ada Farris.
