A. Montelle Meek, 73, of Villa Grove, IL, died at 4:58 P.M., Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL
No Services will be held. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Meek was born on March 31, 1934 in Camargo, IL, the son of Millard and Helen Irene Milsap Meek. He married Annette M. Thompson on April 26, 1978 in Villa Grove, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include: 1 Son: Shane Meek of Leesburg, FL, 2 Daughters: Sheila Melton of Oakland, IL, Samantha Jones of Arcola, IL, 1 Step-Son: John Thompson of Springfield, IL, 1 Sister: Marilyn Decker of Villa Grove, IL, 5 Grandsons, 2 Granddaughters, 2 Step-Granddaughters, 4 Great-Grandsons, 2 Great-Granddaughters, 2 Step-Great-Grandsons
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
Mr. Meek retired from the University of Illinois where he worked as a building service worker. He had also worked at USI Chemical Company, Tuscola, IL. He was a 1952 graduate of Villa Grove High School.
